"Family Treason"

October 21st - December 2nd, 2006

Monkey Don’t Productions’ new revue, Family Treason, humorously tackles the consequences life’s tough choices have within the family unit while maintaining that “unconditional love thing”. Directed by Mary Scruggs, Family Treason focuses on the Ahern family unit wherein we see an overly articulate, frail yet prodigal son go to war, an artistic daughter failing to find her medium after terrible public experiments gone awry and their mother, who wants nothing more than for her family to be a cohesive unit as her spunky war hero father loses the final battle with life or as he sees it, the crazy doctors.

Cast

Regan Davis – (Singer, Matt, Stache) - Patrick Regan Davis is happy to be back working with Monkey Don't Productions again, mostly because he really likes monkeys. He's played a coked up kitten, a Jehovah's Witness, a British rock star, and Abraham from the Bible; but he really thinks his portrayal of Samuel L. Jackson-qua-Office Depot employee in tonight's performance is what will solidify his reputation as a serious dramatic actor.

Sarah Hanchar (Singer, Marie, Pete) - This is Sarah's first show at Donny's Skybox! She recently finished Second City's writing program and is currently a student in the improvisation conservatory and musical improvisation conservatory. Sarah would like to thank Mary Scruggs, the writers and the cast for the opportunity, the laughs and all of the fancy hats.

Kyle Lane (Randy, Grandpa, Ewen, Hank)

Amanda Link (Wendy Jo, Singer, Lisa, Kim) – Amanda Link is very excited to be working with this great group of people. Other Skybox shows include Maui, 6.10.50, and the currently running Sex, Rye, and Videotape. Other Chicago credits include shows with Sandbox Theatre Project, The Anatomy Collective, and The Mill (formerly known as Experimental Theatre Chicago). Amanda is currently in level 3 of the Second City Training Center Conservatory.

Matthew Mages (Sgt. Brett, Terry) – Matthew Mages is jazzed to be in Monkey Don’t Productions presentation of Family Treason. Hailing from coastal Colorado he can also be seen around town with Stark Naked And Poised at The Playground Theatre with Senate and at Stage Left Theatre with PH Productions.

Sarah Reule (Susan) – Sarah is originally from Michigan, where she received an M.A. in Theater. She moved to Chicago, and after working as a casting director, decided to stop living vicariously through other actors. She has most recently studied at the Second City Conservatory and performed with the hit show "ImproviDate." She's currently performing in the musical "Listen, Kid" at iO, teaching improv in the
After School Matters program, and selling stuff is commercials. She thanks her wonderful friends and family for their constant moral and financial support.

Thomas Whittington (Dan) – Thomas Whittington is gosh darn honored to have been brought along for the ride on "Family Treason." Thanks to all the cast, the writers for literally always being there, and to Mary Scruggs for helping me get in touch with my inner Moonbeam.

Rebekah Zetty (Ruth) – Rebekah grew up in suburban Detroit (Go Tigers!) and moved to Chicago to study acting at Columbia College. A recent graduate of the Conservatory at Second City, she is pleased to be appearing with Monkey Don’t for the first time. Other companies Rebekah has worked with include The Neo Futurists, The Journeymen & Box Theatre Group. She would like to thank her husband, Cameron, and her family (with whom she actually gets along quite well).
